HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO
#ProjectSchools is a registered Non Profit Company (NPC). #Projectschools is run by a directory that consists of five people, namely:
HOW CAN YOU HELP US
Since 2016 #Projectschools has been an NPC that is registered as a SARS Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) with a Section 18A Certificate, reducing individuals or company tax. This means that you can now donate to #Projectschools and claim the donation back from your yearly tax returns.
Why are we asking for your donation? The Youth Workers receive a monthly salary for their work at the Schools. We do not burden our local schools with the salaries of the Youth Workers. #Projectschools are solely responsible for paying these salaries. The directors does not receive any income from #Projectschools – they volunteer their time and effort to the dream of #Projectschools.

This directory manages the day-to-day business of #ProjectSchools. The Youth Workers are hand-picked by the directory, after meeting the minimum criteria. The Youth Workers are placed in schools all over South Africa, but also has a support system of their own. Each of the Youth Workers are expected to become part of a local church, and also has a dedicated, hand-picked mentor.
Sessions with their Mentor occur every week to give feedback and to receive support and coaching. Each Youth Worker is also expected to write reports after meeting with any of the students at their designated schools, stating what they talked about. These reports will be escalated to a local Psychologist/ Pastor/Social worker, if the case is too extreme for the Youth Worker to handle, after consulting with his/her Mentor.
